The following opportunities are available to faculty:
2006 Jefferson Science Fellowships
Tenured academic scientists and engineers from U.S. institutions of higher learning are eligible for selection to be Jefferson Science Fellows. Each Fellow will spend one year at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. that may also involve extended stays at U.S. foreign embassies and/or missions. All JSF assignments will be designed in consultation with regional and/or functional bureaus within the U.S. Department of State. Following the fellowship year, the Jefferson Science Fellow will return to his/her academic career, but will remain available to the U.S. government as an experienced consultant for short-term projects. American Council on Education Fellowships
Since 1965, hundreds of vice presidents, deans, department chairs, faculty, and other emerging leaders have participated in the ACE Fellows Program, the nationýs premier higher education leadership development program that has prepared senior leaders to serve American colleges and universities. Resources for the Future (RFF) Fellowships
Resources for the Future (RRF) announces fellowship opportunities for 2006-2007 for the pursuit of scholarly research that documents the implementation and outcomes of environmental regulations. The objective of the fellowships is to develop a base of scholarship that systematically examines environmental regulation in practice and can be used to inform regulators, industry, and others of assumptions of environmental laws and policies.
