My favorite thing about USU is the people. From the moment I first set foot on campus everyone was so friendly and helpful. Everyone seemed so excited to be there and I wanted to be a part of it.
I chose Utah State for three simple reasons. First, the actual location of campus. It is close to my home town of Taylorsville, but far enough away to get the "college experience." I also loved that USU was literally at an epicenter of outdoor activity. You have the canyon, snowboarding at Beaver Mountain, and even boating at Bear Lake. The campus is gorgeous. You couldn't ask for a better back drop than those mountains! Second, the people (again). Like I said before, I felt instantly welcomed and excited from the second I was on campus. Everyone was so great and I wanted to be part of the excitement. Third, the quality of education. More than 86% of the professors at USU have their doctorate or terminal degree, so you know you're getting a good education! Not only that but USU provides so many options in majors, graduate programs, research, everything you could possibly hope for! Even amidst a student body of over 16,000 students, one of my professors new my name the second day of class. It's wonderful to feel truly cared for and supported in your education.
