“Light tomorrow with today.”
—Elizabeth Barrett Browning
The Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services has received wonderful support from alumni and friends during the first phase of Utah State's Comprehensive Campaign. This campaign has strengthened outstanding programs and advanced new initiatives in teaching and research.
A $25 million pledge from the Emma Eccles Jones Foundation will enable us to build a new early childhood education and research facility, plus provide five faculty endowments. Also, we've received support for several new scholarship endowments and key college programs. Extending the campaign through 2012 will further increase the number of friends who support our students and programs.
“A $25 million pledge from the Emma Eccles Jones Foundation will enable us to build a new early childhood education and research facility, plus provide five faculty endowments.”
Our U.S. News and World Report ranking for 2009-24th in a field of more than 1,200 and 3rd nationally in research funding-suggests that we know how to do life-changing work in education and human services. Building upon our 81-year history, we intend to honor proud traditions through an ongoing commitment to excellence in:
- Preparing superb teachers, administrators/supervisors and human services personnel for productive careers
- Offering outstanding programs, delivered both on-campus and through distance education, to those who serve at-risk individuals and low-performing schools
- Providing our students, clients and community partners with first-rate facilities, advanced technology and essential equipment
With your support during the Comprehensive Campaign, we will light tomorrow with today by securing the resources to recruit promising students and talented faculty, offer innovative programs informed by research, and provide world-class facilities, technology and equipment.
